About
The first TEDxHoboken will take place in June of 2013 at The Babbio Center at Stevens Institute of Technology in Hoboken, NJ.
Our theme is Infinite Horizons and we are crafting one of the most inspiring TEDx events to hit THIS side of the Hudson River. Think about it… the word “infinity” in and of itself is capable of beckoning so many questions from within. Some of us look to the horizon and want to know what lies beyond. Those of us who do, we are the travelers, the adventurers; we are those who walk toward to the horizon which we see, always looking for another one to reach and explore. We are the ones who recognize that there are indeed an infinite amount of horizons.
Our team is happy to announce that we are creating a TEDx vibe all year long within the mile square town. Mixers, salon events, speakers, artists, and exclusive TEDxHoboken opportunities are coming…

About TED
TED is a nonprofit organization devoted to Ideas Worth Spreading. Started as a four-day conference in California 25 years ago, TED has grown to support those world-changing ideas with multiple initiatives. The annual TED Conference invites the world’s leading thinkers and doers to speak for 18 minutes. Their talks are then made available, free, at TED.com. TED speakers have included Bill Gates, Al Gore, Jane Goodall, Elizabeth Gilbert, Sir Richard Branson, Nandan Nilekani, Philippe Starck, Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, Isabel Allende and former UK Prime Minister Gordon Brown. The annual TED Conference takes place each spring in Long Beach, California, along with the TEDActive simulcast in Palm Springs; the annual TEDGlobal conference is held each summer in Edinburgh, Scotland.
